2025 Spring Chess Classes
Early-Bird Discount: Deduct $20 off the normal price if the student is fully registered (registration payment has been received) by February 28, 2025, at 11:59pm.
Sibling Discount: Deduct $20 off the second sibling from the normal price. If there is a third sibling, deduct $20 off the third sibling from the normal price.
Referral Program: Earn $15 in credit for each successful referral (once the referred student has completed their payment). Credits are redeemable for any future Chess Minds Calgary events or programs.
Limit: 3 referrals per semester.
Eligibility: Has previously been enrolled in a CMC chess class semester.

Beginner Course: Recommended for chess players who have been introduced to chess and know how the chess pieces move but they have very little to no knowledge of the Chess rules & strategies.

They also have good knowledge of the basic endgame checkmates and opening fundamentals. They have basic knowledge about chess tactics (pins, forks, skewers, etc.) and basic middlegame strategies.

Rook course: Recommended for chess players with solid opening fundamentals and complete knowledge of the basic endgame checkmates but limited general endgame knowledge. The player has a good grasp of general middlegame fundamentals and has some knowledge of different middlegame strategies. The player is also well familiar with chess tactics (finding pins, forks, skewers, etc., in games).
